Default Does 2023-2025 Have Doppler Radar

My 2018 ES 350 was totaled last year by texting driver. My favorite item was INFO>WEATHER>WEATHER MAP. turned the screen into a doppler real time visual map. Do the new models have this?

Thanks.

I haven't seen anything about it. Here is a short discussion in the RX forum.

My 2021 RX 350 had it but my 2024 ES UL does not.

As others have indicated, 2023 and later model years Lexus Interface systems, as far as I can find, do not support any sort of weather map. If you ask Intelligent Assistant to show a weather map the answer you get is something like: weather map is not currently supported.

If you want to see what weather related questions Intelligent Assistant has support for, invoke Intelligent Assistant and ask "Help". A list of Intelligent Assistant support categories will be displayed, scroll down to the "Weather >" entry, touch/select it, and a list of supported weather queries will be displayed.

If you really want to see a radar weather map on the center screen, you can find Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible weather apps that supports that feature. Most, if not all, apps supporting radar weather map require a reoccurring cost "Pro" subscription to enable that feature (along with other "Pro" features) in order to cover the more expensive weather data access costs at the commercial level of data consumption.

If anyone can recommend a CarPlay compatible weather App better than Weatherology it would help us all.

That is a neat feature on my 2020 by pushing voice and say weather map Don't use a lot but nice when do. You would think new systems would add to and not take away also like the split screen.

I was talking with my son last night and he argued that the feature was hardly one to base
a purchase decision so I thought about it. When I used it I could see where the heavy
weather was on my drive home. It also gave me a heads up to how fast the rain was coming
across my trajectory on the highways.

Do I like it enough to purchase a certified Lexus rather than new? The answer is yes,
I would miss the feature and not having it at this point at least is a deal breaker.

I have an app on my iPhone called "MyRadar". It is compatible with CarPlay and allows me to see radar in the car.

That's neat. Had not thought about putting that android equivalent on my carlink kit tbox. Still having it on car without having anything external would be nice but that is also done by the HD radio and sometimes when I try to access it says can't show but I guess depends a lot on your area with HD stations.

MYRADAR is the best one out there IMO.

2015 through 2022 ES's had the very useful Weather Channel display. Updated for free by
tuning to any HD Hybrid Digital terrestrial radio station it shows current and 3-day future weather
for current location, lets you search remote locations (and save those for quick reference!) as
well as showing a zoomable map. When programming a Point B destination in the Lexus Nav
it will show up on the Weather Map and it is very clear if your journey is going to be affected.

Zooms just as with the Nav Map by a) tapping + or - tabs as with a Garmin screen b) using the rocker
between the Map and Menu buttons on the console (2015 - 2018) or pinching/spreading your fingers
on the center console pad (2019-2022). Try the voice command by pressing the "talk" button on the
steering wheel and saying "show weather forecast" or "show weather map".

It is the coolest feature I have ever seen in a vehicle.
