Default Android auto...

Hi everyone. Has anyone had any success adding Android auto to ours ES350?
I installed the hard wire interface but removed because of several malfunction of the interface.
Let me know what you think . Regards

Mine is a 2020 with android auto but on trips I use a carlinkit Tbox plus that can be used on any car with apple carplay. It gives me full screen maps and acts like an android tablet. Bluetooth mouse can be used but I just deal with the trackpad. Seems to work very well.

I also see you have the new RX and when I test drove one I tried it in the RX and 1 to 3 screens could be used on that large screen whereas on the ES it is up to 2

I looked into this and found that you must have a touchscreen to use it. So in my car, a 2019 ES with Apple but no Android and no touchscreen, NG... Believe you're in the same predicament Mike... We got screwed by Lexus that said they were installing AA in our cars but didn't. Other countries updated for free or a charge to add AA into their non AA systems.

Does not have to have a touchscreen. Touchpad works or bluetooth mouse works on my 2020. I made sure with them before I bought that it would work and it does. The touchpad works more like a mouse where you move finger across and tap or double tap but not push down like we do now

OK Thanks for the correction. I did read the specs but apparently interpreted it incorrectly. I see one for $155.00 by Carlinkit marked down from $455.00. Does this connect by USB? Let me know your thoughts if any.

Yes it connects usb but I found it only connects to usb port towards front as it doesn't like hubs. It also has wireless AA but I don't use it because no need as it functions as an android tablet. It will work on 2019. Touchscreen would make it easier but not mandatory.

So it integrates with the touchPAD?
