Personalized settings question (dlr programmed)
I'm not going to mess with a scan tool, I'd probably be down that rabbit hole for hours.
Also, any recommendations on what to ask for would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for replies,

I may ask if they can disable the passenger seatbelt warning (if they legally can do that). Our mailbox is some distance from the house but even if I keep it under 12 mph the warning goes off, becomes increasingly loud and is blaring by the time we get to the house. I'd like it to just be less aggressive like a normal car, but there isn't a setting for that.

P.S. In case it isn't obvious, the My Lexus Resources web page also has download links for pdf copies of the various manuals and other documents for your ES (and any other recent Lexus vehicle that you select).

Starting with the 2020 Owner's Manual and all subsequent years, the text has been changed to omit all specific numbers and reads:
The 2023 Lexus Personalized Settings pdf still has "Programmable by Dealer" "xxx Seat Belt Reminder" "When the vehicle reaches 12 mph" settings for each seat position so perhaps the 2019 specific numbers are still implemented in the hardware up to the present model year.

The operation conditions for the LDA function is found on page 190 of the 2021 Lexus ES250/ES350 Owner's Manual and states in part:
• LTA is turned on.
...
So, if you really do want LDA turned off, use the LTA button located in the right cluster of steering wheel buttons to toggle the LTA system to an off state.
Personally, I leave the LTA system on, set the warning to steering wheel vibrate, turn off lane centering, and leave steering assist on. The steering wheel vibration warning is pretty low key and it quickly becomes automatic of the conditions under which to ignore it and the conditions where you really need to heed the warning. Since those functions operate in conjunction with the Blind Spot Monitor system, it is a good backup system to warn me if I've missed another vehicle creating a collision potential when I'm changing lanes. (Sure, I always check for clearance and signal lane changes but with all the seemingly suicide drivers on the road I'll use all the assistance available to help avoid colliding with them.)
