HELP! Please! Brake and Steering Wheel Shake
I had crazy steering wheel vibration on my 2011 ES350 and my mechanic recommended I do rotors and pads all round. I did so about a month and a half ago and the ride has been much much better, but I think the vibration is coming back slowly and I've always had what feels like a wheel balance shake at about 100 KPH (60 MPH). I got a 2nd set of factory rims with new tires about a week ago and what I thought was a wheel balance issue is still there. On a whim I went out and bought a clamp dial indicator to check things out. Because I feel a bit of brake pulse in the pedal and my seat and the vibration at speed seems to be coming from the rear, I pulled my rear wheels and checked the lateral runout.
Driver's side
Hub 0.003"
Rotor (an inch from the edge) 0.007"
Passenger side
Hub 0.022"
Rotor 0.034"
I wasn't able to check the fronts. Will have to do that another time when I have jack stands.
So, anyone have or no where I can find the brake or hub runout specs for our cars? I suspect that the passenger side is way out and is the cause of both my high speed shake and perhaps the cause or partial cause of my brake vibration (which I think will only get worse with time).
Any thoughts? Suggestions? I'm thinking I'll need to replace the rear hubs, verify that runout is in spec, replace the rear rotors and pads (under warranty) and I should be golden if all is within spec.

So, I finally got around to stopping by my mechanic. He's recommending that we replace both rear hub assemblies. He's going to call his supplier and see if they will replace the rotors and pads under warranty. While we have the car in the air, he will check the lateral runout on the front. He wasn't sure if the wobble in the rear would be bad enough for me to feel a bad shake in the steering wheel. He's going to charge me $250 labour. I'm thinking of buying Timken hubs. Anyone have any experience with them? I can get them forn $140CDN each if I have them shipped to my sister's place in Michigan. I can't seem to find them for less than $200 with shipping and import tax to Canada. Anyway, anyone have the torque specs for the rear hub? I want to give them to my mechanic and watch him tighten them.
