I like the silver on the dash, look like an IS on the inside.

Cool ride man! It's kind of weird seeing RHD and a cloth interior -- looks like a different car inside from the US spec.

Thanks guys. .. I am pretty happy with the silver.. Its actually my favourite color (Car, Bike, Phone).... The reson I have decided to re-do the interior is because (no offence) I am tired of all the wood stuff.. Especially when they only did half the interior in wood, and the rest was left black plastic.. I thought it just looked a little too tacky for my liking?.. Plus, I just think this car is screaming out to be sported up a bit?.. I am yet to finish the interior. I plan on doing everything including the door panel with the window controls ect. and also the centre console at the rear...

How are you doing the fabrication of the silver interior? Is it all custom and by hand?

Yes. Its all by hand!... Normally i would have taken all of the pieces out of the dash and console to spray them.. But as i am very heavy handed, I decided to leave them in, and just cover around the areas I wanted to spray.. .. The funny thing with doing that is, you get an after spray that catches in the air, and filters around in the car.. I was lucky, as it left specles on my black dash, and actually gave the black a specled metalic look.. But I dont suggest you try it.. I must have just been holding my tongue in the right position?... If done again. i would completely remove every piece....As for the line across the glove compartment. I used chrome silver modellers paint buy Tamiya... Applied it with a brush.....

The stereo plate was done with silver decal sheeting. But it was so hard to apply , and making it sit without airholes was difficult.. So thats why I decided to spray everything.... One suggestion is. If you decide to paint,. After you have completed it,and it has completely dried. I would suggest putting a clear film of clear contact around the gear stick area, as this is where we tend to throw alot of stuff when we are driving. I always put my cell phone down there, and it scratched, so had to redo.. No problem, but an idea for later on... As for the rest of the area, it realy doesnt get touched as we only ever touch the buttons. So the paint will last a long time... Again, I do suggest to remove the piece before starting.. will give you a better finish, and you dont have to fiddle around the controls like I did!...

To be honest, I was hoping that someone else had done something different with the interior.. The only thing i have seen was another guy in japan, that had done all the interior black and red.. Not my taste. But thats all I have seen with this model....
