Of those that have the silver metalic what color interior do you have. Black or Grey. I am probably purchasing one in the next 7 days and would like some imput on the interior colors. Since I am male, I was thinking that the silver/black was a more masculin combination. What do you guys think?

i have silver/black and i'm female. i don't really think one is more masculine vs. the other. i just think the black is much easier to take care of, and given that the RX does all kinds of crap for me, (ski trips, costco runs, dogs, etc), i wanted something practical. we have grey leather in the GS and it shows dirt much earlier. my friend has a 400h w/ grey interior and it looks pretty dirty after 5k miles.

i guess you could say that silver/black is a little sportier? something about the fact that the interior is nice and dark from the outside as well as inside... i don't know, that could be one of the other reasons silver/black looks masculine to some ppl. in any case, i love the silver/black combo. i had it on my old GS and i don't think i would ever buy another SUV in another color b/c this combo has held up really well. i have little paint chips on the outside, regular wear on the leather inside, and it still looks really new after 53k miles:

^ You're really a female? I thought you were a male

I like black, it kinda looks more classier and plus I dont have to worry about gettin the interior dirty.

I was kind of leaning toward the black. My wife has black in her GS and has never had the seats cleaned. On the other hand I have an 04 rx with tan interior and have had the seats cleaned several times at 25.00 a pop. They still look new, but I had to pay for it. I also like that the window tint looks darker with the black interior. However , there is less contrast between the dash and seats on the black which I think makes the grey look a little classier. I do beleive though, that the sportier look is for me. Nice pix.

I haven't taken delivery of my RX400h yet. My first choice was Flint Mica/Black wNav - none available on the East coast! My second choice was Flint Mica/Grey w/Nav - none available on the East coast!! My third choice is either Silver/Black, Black/Black, or Black/Grey (in that order). I'll find out tomorrow if my dealer can work a swap. I really like the looks of the black interior. My only concern is how hot the seats may get setting in the sun all day at work. Should I be concerned?

Jim, don't know if it is any help to you or not but Lexus of Covington in Cincinnatti has the flint with black and nav. They are extremely helpful and may be able to work out the logistics with you. That is where I am buying my rx.

I bought mine with the grey interior because I was afraid that black leather would get much too hot in the summer (DC metro area). I like the grey but it is quite light in color and will require more cleaning. Overall, I think the black leather looks (marginally) better with Silver.

From my experience with luxury cars, tan is the most luxurious looking. Tan is just bland to me and black is way too hot and (to me) not attractive.

Thanks for the tip. However, the dealer here called today to tell me that they were able to find my first choice [Flint Mica/Black w/Nav] at the dealer in Portland Maine. I could be driving it by this weekend.

It got up to 94 F today here in southern NH. I guess I'll find out soon enough how hot the black seats get!

one thing to keep in mind about the interior colors is the steering wheel, which was my beef when i choose my color.

with the black interior your steering wheel is black leather, but if your interior color is grey then your steering wheel is solid red wood. your only decision from now on.

Yeah! Black leather easy to clean and no worry clean every month. Moreover, black leather is the best. Very hot in summer. It depents on you! I prefer, black interier color. My RX300 had steel blue with black interior leather. Awesome!

are you sure? maybe that is a hawaii thing... here we get the brown walnut on grey and black, and the golden birds eye maple on the ivory. i don't think it's possible to get an all leather one on a 350 here.
