Muffler Delete Check engine light
I just got a muffler delete today and i loved it and as i was driving i got an check engine light and my vsc light turn on and traction control turned off i went to autozone they scanned the code and it came up as p0057 for my 02 sensors im kinda freaking out cause i hope my muffler delete didnt cause this and if so im still under a carmax warranty so hopefully if i take it there they wont void me
thanks
thanks
Deleting Muffler alters back pressure/speed of exhaust escape. Suspect that effects the EMS (Engine management System) settings i.e. o2 sensors picking up different to standard set-up readings.... therefore light comes on.

Never had an issue with my exhaust after messing with it, like Bluedog said it could be a backpressure issue causing the codes but ive had to run my car without a muffler/exhaust before for days and had no issues/lights. Honestly Id recommend just getting your muffler put back on,also theres a slim chance that getting the work done caused your car to finally realize your 02 sensors have gone bad.
By the way a muffler delete with a tune wont give you any gains compared to stock exhaust , and also is deleting a muffler the worst thing you can do to a car? Ever heard of cutting springs, not changing oil, running tires bald, ignoring maintenance? Having a good sounding car pales in comparison as the worst thing to do it.

It was my o2 sensors they went bad and they got replaced under warranty they told me it had nothing to do with muffler delete cause it is the mufflers all the way in the back it doesn’t alter anything execpt sound

So, I'm assuming your Chk Engine light is no longer an issue...... How does your car sound without the muffler.... happy with it?...did it meet your expectations?
it sounds really good better than my expectations its very quiet at 1500 rpms but one your above that its sounds very good and pops a little bit when you rev it up. It does tend to break peoples necks a lot lol.
