Default --Radio repairs--

it's a 1997,

The radio LCD numbers are starting to go out and the radio stations and some of the other radio buttons are out and to top it off the volume lowers and raises randomly depending on the roads conditions....it'll cost around 200 on ebay to send it to some guy there but it'll come with a aux for that price but then i'll still have the volume issue....Or spend 100 at the junk yard and gamble on a used one OR find someone local to repair it, any idea's who does that in socal?

Tanin Auto Electronix (a vendor here) can repair it OR you can do a aftermarket install..... Grab a IPod and listen to tunes that way because it is the cheapest way to go. I am in the same boat as you and I just preset the stations and deal with no display because my 97 ES (beater) is not worth investing the money into it.
My AC doesn't even work!! But it runs well with 225k. miles....... My son uses it at college.

Common issue. A new LCD assembly is close to $200 plus labor.

We can locate a known good working radio otherwise go aftermarket.

Damn it. When I sold my 97 ES to the scrap yard, the LCD was about 4 years old......should have taken it off and sell it.
