New shift knob
Was trying to order the wood console trim parts that were shown
in another thread by the gentleman from Dubai.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es3...-interior.html
My sister is visiting in the area for three weeks. Sent detailed pics of the parts needed and also my ES350 VIN.
Keep in mind that the parts at the dealer here cost $317.14.
Here is the response from my sister after hearing from the dealer there:
Heard back from Lexus and the parts are unbelievably outrageous.
The guy spoke very good English and understood exactly what I wanted as I had sent him the picture and the vin number. It would be 7,105. Riyal or almost $2000. That's just craziness. I made sure he was only giving me the price for the trim around the console. How much is the trim in the US?
I'm thinking of trying Dubai later today as we will be there on Thursday.
So instead of trying to get the wood console trim parts, I decided to just change the shift **** to better blend in with the black trim.
Found this from a site in Japan.
Should look just fine. Cheaper too.

There were some interest in another thread on wood overlay. It was a little too early, but there is a least one company that provides precision cut wood overlay to look like OEM at a fraction of that price, depending on how extensive you want the wood trim. Maybe somebody has gotten it and can report back on quality and look.
I purchased the '13 350 kit from B&I. I have about half of it installed and it looks beautiful. Each piece is precision cut to exact size. I will be happy to post photos when I'm finished. The order took about 3 weeks to get and it cost me $250.00. The finish is glossy with a wood grain. I ordered the custom color to match the Bird's Eye Maple that Lexus supplies from the factory. You can order many different colors but they won't match the factory color. I am very pleased with the quality, price, and ease of installation. The kit really dresses up the interior, including the rear doors and center vent. I'll finish the install as soon as the weather here in PA warms up. The pieces must be installed - for maximum adhesion - when the temperature is above 70F.
As far as the shift **** goes, you can get this one for less than $100 at Sewell. It will make your ES into an ES F-Sport!

Bob- Not bad. It looks pretty close to the original Maple wood. Only thing is, it doesn't look like they offer an overlay for the black portion of the console, only the beige portion of the console. They also don't have it in Bamboo, which is the only wood trim for the 300h. That's what I really want.
I think with these kits you really need to pick and choose which pieces you install. For instance here I would have done the window switchplates and maybe the little peice on the console, the black portion of the console, but not the vent surrounds or the pieces around the Lexus emblem because to me those don't look like they belong...
The piano black portion of the console is included as well as the drive mode selector, cup holder lid, and a surround piece for the shift letter indicators. I agree with SW as far as installing every piece. There are numerous trim pieces that I don't plan on attaching. However, I'm happy with all that has been done so far including the steering wheel emblem. Some of the pieces in the kit are already on from the factory. What the trim doesn't look like is a package from your local auto supply store. B&I states that Bamboo will be available but apparently not anytime soon.

I wish they offered the wood trims to cover the whole center console, including the black,, window switches, and the matching trim under the front vents. Definitely not a 2K upgrade, but maybe 200.
I'll have to wait for them to come out with the bamboo trim to see how it looks and cost.
