i say IS300. i dont know much about "air ride" systems but i'd assume it be more expensive then converting a IS3 to manual

Cool

According to the Obsessive-compulsivehen presented with a choice, choose both. The resell value on the ES isn't THAT high right now anyway. You'll have the best of both worlds.
  • The IS will have a HUGE number of aftermarket tuner-/mod- parts and a nice bang-for-the-buck on performance returns!
  • Almost anyone can have a nicely modded, head-turning IS; our regional group is rife with teens who have graduated to the IS from Civics or the like. A nicely executed, well-tuned and aesthetically attractive ES is a rare beast. Keep up the momentum on your 99 ES, finish it, and then start on the IS.
There's my $.02 from someone who's had a similar choice in the recent past. Either way, I'm glad you're staying with the Lexus family and CL. You're an obvious enthusiast who doesn't waste any time getting after it with the modifications!

I do love modding the cars and the ES is rarely modded around here.. but the IS is soo tempting because of the wide variety of after market parts and I kinda want it because first and second mods would be boost and squeeze.. god damn it would be fast lol.. and its stick.. that will definitely make me want to mod it to go fast which is good and bad. haha..

The ES ooh man I have been through a lot with her.. I am not sure how many but I would say 5-7 sets of wheels.. 3 different suspensions.. like 5 stereo's.. wayy too many subs and amps I don't know where to start with that.. haha.. and lots of other mods on it.. leds..exhaust..tv's... struts.. etc..

I may take your advice and finish up the ES and go on to the IS..
