Default Intuitive parking assist

Can anyone comment on this feature regarding how usefull it is, especially if I already have the rear backup camera projected on the GPS screen.
My dealer told me its next to impossible to get with the Ultra Luxury package (not sure why). Another concern is that if I had the IPA system, I wouldn't be able to add the clear paint protection film from 3M (xpel and other brands) to protect my front areas from rock chips. It would cover the sensors (my assumption)

You can get clear bra that has holes for your parking assist sensors, thats not a problem.

Who's your dealer? That's false. In California, it's actually quite tough to get the UL package withOUT it. That's why I have it. I didn't care about it and it only raises repair costs in case of an accident. However, all the Ultra Luxury packages in stock out there had it.

I think that the parking assist is a very useful addition, especially when parking in tight spots or close to a wall or obstruction. The more I use it, the more I love it.

I also have the IPA, with a clear mask, it is a great safety feature!

I echo all the above comments. I have it and I like it. At first I looked at it more as a toy and a cool gimmick, but I've found that I do like it and do use it in tight parking situations. You can inch forward or backward until the sensor starts beeping at you, and then gently use that to know how close you are. The beeping intensity increases when you get real close to an object so you can use that beeping to know how close you are.

......and if you have Navigation you also have the indication onscreen that changes from yellow, when you approach an obstruction that turns to red when you are very close. That's why my bumpers have no scratches or dings after almost 2 years of owning this car.
