Question having electrical problems

this has happened three times in the last week. i go to start up my car, and i get 0 battery. all electrical stuff goes out; ignition, lights, door locks, everything. it's as if no battery is hooked up.

But once i disconnect and reconnect the negative terminal, i get full power and am able to start the car no problem. Is this just a terminal connector problem? b/c the (-) connector is pretty corroded from the failure of my last battery. i have a new battery only a month old

yes it sounds like you have a dirty terminal... You can use a baking soda and water mixture to clean the cable end along with a wire brush... myself I would take my new batery out to prevent accidental soda contamination of the cells... also there are felt anti corosion washers that you can get at any part store
