so you step on the brakes and it dies?. i'm not an expert but it seems like your battery is dead? in addition, your alternator too... have you change either or know that its in good condition?

Check

-Grounds
-Vacuum leaks
-TCC solenoid

Most likely the grounds, just upgrade to a lower gauge

Angry I have a similar situation

After filling my tank at the gas station, I started my car and then it died. I started it again and it died again. So I started it again and then revved the engine because now I was getting mad. After a few seconds of revving the engine, I took my foot off of the gas and it died again. Anyone know what the hell is going on.
I can start it and then rev it up and hold the brake at the same time and then put it into gear and release the brake and I can go but as soon as I slow down enough to where the RPM's get below 1000 it dies and obviously all of the electronic **** shuts down too. ie powersteering, brakes...etc..
I spoke to a service guy who said it may be my O2 sensor or it may be my fuel computer module? PLEASE HELP ME! I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY AND ALL ADVICE. ONCE AGAIN THANKS

have you ever try messing with the throttle? the car "should" idle @ 700rpm and should be fine. anything less the car would likely stutter and shuts off. adjust the throttle alittle bit and tell us how it goes.

I had the same problem on my ES300,and I'm pretty sure it's your ISC valve
(Idle speed control valve) it's located just below the throttle body assembly,
it probably just needs cleaning or worst case is that you may need a new one!

Sounds like you have a hybrid

I had this problem too, and the ICS's in these cars are a pretty common issue, so add a vote for that

There is a thread in the LOC site with pics of the throttle body cleaning process in a '95 ES. See link below.
