Can someone do me a huge favor and open their keyless head to see what kind of battery it takes? I have a 93 es300 and the remote doesn't have a battery in it. I don't know what type of voltage battery it needs, and I don't want to put the wrong one in there.

to anybody that may read this, that is wrong information. The CR2016 is bigger than the entire remote.

 

Well, mine says "3 Volts".....as well as CR2016..

That's from a '99 though, although I can't imagine it would be much different....but who knows.

I just replaced the battery in the key for my 93 LS. The number for that battery was CR 1216.

I have not replaced the battery in the key for my 94 ES; however, the key looks identical to the LS key. I would suspect that it uses the CR 1216, also.

The CR 2016 is a much bigger battery.

Both are available at Radio Shack. They cost around $3.00.
