from experience, the tailights will fit physically, but in order for the lamps to properly fit into the sockets the wiring has to be changed. You will need the bulb sockets from and 05 too, then they have to be spliced to the wiring of the 02. In addition, the 02 has one more bulb than the 05 so you may have one extra bulb hidden behind the tailight assembly that is no longer needed.

As for the headlights, there should be no physical reason as to why it wouldn't fit. I would go to your local dealer and look closely at the pattern of the bulb socket and compare the 05 receptacle and socket to the 02 recepticle and socket. I wouldn't be surpised if they don't match up similar to the tailights.

Ok, with the 05 headlights, you have the ones that spin. How can that be matched with the 02'?

spin? I don't know what you are saying or asking.

i think the only difference between the 02 and 05 is that the 02 are a reflector dish style and the 05 are projector style low beams.

You know, the 05' are xenon lights and the 02' are halogen. The socket for the low beam will not fit ,as they are 9006 sockets. And the auto leveling xenon lights are not going to work on the 02'.But they will still turn on.

You can just modify the taillights sockets to make the 02' work with the 05's.NO wire splicing is needed.

Actually, many of the 02 ES's came with HID/autoleveling headlights (mine has them), so if his 02 has HID, then they may work.
