Default Tailight swap

Will 95-96 tailights fit in a 92 es? The styling is only slightly different but are they atttached to the car differently. I assume they will work out. I am thinking about buying newer tails off of ebay because they are much better looking than the 92 tails, especially when cleared out.

i think 92 tail lights are bigger then 96 ones....96 ones have lil space in between the license plate and the light but 92 has no space in between...i dunno if you can just swap...

I stand corrected.... I remember someone (I think it was Stefwilli) took out some bulb to make it look like the 95-96... You could do that

Don't quote me on this, but if you were to put '95-'96 ES tails into your '92 (even if all the bolts are in the right locations), there would be a small gap/hole on the left and right sides of the license plate, due to the tailights being slightly less longer dimensional-wise than the '92 tailights. You're more than welcome to call the dealership and find out for sure.

i did this swap on saturday, you need to cut into the body becuase the key cylinder is 1/2" - 3/4" off, you need to move the lock cylinder over and drill a new hole for the pop rod to fit into the cylinder
