Feeling a little bit "picture"-nostalgic lately in the CL forum, so I thought I'd put in some old-new pictures I took of my '01 ES. Comments are always welcome
Here's the 1st one. My ES and my friend's S-class (sold it this summer before going to college).
Last pic. Fast forward to a snapshot of my ES today (12/12/2003). I chose a random location, but I thought this looks cool since the background of the leafless trees and fading sunlight easily represents the kind of pre-wintry weather we're getting in New England.
Don't let the picture deceive you; my ES doesn't look as clean as shown in the picture!
My grandfather just picked up a 2004 black S500 with the amg package and it looks just like that one in the pics only he has the new headlights with the projector. Doug does your friend still have those exhaust tips my grandfather just finish asking me could I get those tips for him. Maybe I'll get him to get the roof wing too. Oh yeah my grandfather is a cool grand pops.

My friend sold off the car "as-is" privately during the summer, including all the mods. I believe he got most of the modification parts from Ebay.
BTW Stefan, nice to hear that your grandfather is interested in doing some modifications to the S-class, and the AMG package is definitely a surefire start
Decided to take some new pics of the ES. My town, though one of the wealthiest in Fairfield County, is pretty unattractive as a city itself, so it's sort of difficult to find places that provide a nice background for photos. As a "change in pace", I chose to take these pictures on a rainy day, and I thought it looks OK for that purpose
