Has anyone used the fully assemble strut kits from Monroe on an ES300? I don't have the tools to disassemble the struts from the springs. Any help would be apprciated.
u should do a search in the forum...this has been talked about quite a bit...i listed part numbers here https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es3...inch-rims.html for kyb ind. pieces...Monroe quick struts are good..will cost about 175 a piece
Quick Struts come as a complete unit including the mounts (also known as upper insulator among other things) what part are you thinking of?
Rockauto.com usually has the best prices on Quick Struts.
Bumping this, since i'll be getting the four quick struts, and there is a 150$ rebate when you buy 4 quick struts in the month of October [Can & US]
Locally, the cheapest was 240$/corner. Rockauto gets them for ~145$/corner & 55$ shipped to NY and i'll pick them up.
Big price difference, i went from 1100$ with tax vs. 640$ shipped & no tax since they don't charge taxes; before rebate! So i'll have a nice new set for less than half of local...
I hope the car will feel nice & firm again after 130k on it!
I went with KYB fully assembled struts for the front on my 97. They are better quality than Monroe. I got them from Amazon for $186 a piece with free shipping.
