Thumbs up Struts

Well at last I changed all my 4 struts .
It took 10 hours to change all 4 . It was not so easy as I thought because some bolts were stuck and in process to open, I broke my tool 3 times .
But result is very good . It rides like a new . After that I went to test drive 2005 lexus, the ride of my 1997 and 2005 was same .
The hard part is to change the rare struts because, you have to take back seats off and then access of the upper rare strut mount is very difficult , tool don't fit in . You need to have small tool for that .

Next project is to change Engine mount . i bought those mount from E-bay ( $200 ) . Hope I will do this weekend.

MONROE struts are HORRIBLE in cold weather, i have the same brand struts for the rear of my car, and they totally suck in cold weather (i read something on the internet saying they sucked, but i was in a rush rush to have my old ones replaced...and tight on the wallet)

they squeak like crazy over any road bumps

but when the weather is warm they do alright.

ive only had them for about 1 year and a half and im looking to replace them with KYBs

First I bought KYBs then returned them and bought Monroe . It all depends upon how you feel . I am comfortable with them . KYBs are too soft . My previous struts were Monroe too and lasted 50 K . The new Monroe struts are heavier than KYBs and their central rod is thicker the bolts are bigger too . Again it depends upon choice .
