Default 2016 CT License Plate LED?

Does anyone happen to know how to replace the LED that comes with the 2016 CT200h? It seems like they changed the housing so you cant just twist it off anymore. The LED that comes stock is nice but not bright enough for my liking

I am able to unplug it but after that I am lost. I've tried fidgeting with it in every possible direction but to no avail. Any help?

Thanks

Hi, i had a little look at my led lights on my 2016 CT and i think they are not like the usual led bulbs. The almost look like LED filament and sealed units,so i dont think theyre changable.

Why would you want brighter than OEM?

All of us that are non-led are seeking to get that OEM look... lol

Not sure what you mean by that second part, but LEDs are generally brighter than stock. I changed my because I didn't like the yellowish color and also white LEDs look much cleaner IMO. I didn't go much brighter for the license plate lights, but for the reverse lights I went as bright as possible since I vinyl wrapped my taillights.
