It has 113,000 mi on it, battery still gets 40 mpg. Car looks clean. This is what he has done. I need some advice on this car because I want to get it for my wife. I love the way it looks. Not really used to the way it drives because it's a hybrid but I drove it and it was pretty good. I want a reliable daily for her that looks good inside and out.

Ended up buying it. I heard that I can go bad anyway I can avoid that? Any tips to keep the battery lasting long

 

Not sure I know of any ways to extend the battery life, just drive it normally. The most beneficial maintenance item for this car is cleaning the entire EGR system.

 

Anyone know if the head gasket issue was solved by this year? From what I read this is equal to a 2015 Prius .
I also want to change the head unit to a double din. I have the base model with no screen

 

The head gasket issue was supposed to have been improved upon by this year, yes. But it still can't hurt to clean the EGR system, as I have seen people report head gasket failures in the later years anyway.

And it is perfectly possible to replace the stereo by the shifter with a double din unit with a screen.
