I don't want hijack this thread, but does anyone know any shops that can do a cheap remote starter system in Lake or Cook county? I don't feel like driving too far.

I went to Best Buy and they said $139.99 (installation included) + tax for their cheapest one (Avital 4111)

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Avital+-...&skuId=9495076

Anyone know where I can do this cheaper than that? It's going on a daily driven Toyota so it doesn't need to be fancy shmancy.

I wouldnt let BestBuy work on my car....

I think most car audio shops charge $225 or $275 if your key has a code. Not something I would be cheap about as it can cost you a lot in the long run.

139.99 is a good price. Keep in mind they will tack on other various install charges that are not included under "basic install". Usually anywhere from $50-$150. I worked at the Bestbuy in skokie (village crossings) for many years. I would trust my own car to the installer that goes by the name of Ramcin. He has over 10yrs experience working on all types of customer projects. If you decide to go with Bestbuy, see him. Make an appointment as he's booked weeks in advance this time of year.
