It's actually selling pretty well. The EUV is pretty popular. That is odd

 

They'll have a sub-Equinox EV electric vehicle to fill this slot coming no later than the end of 2025.

 

For sure, look like they come out with a new version using their own (new) battery.

 

Are they making any Bread and Butter money on these or is it a loss leader?
If they're making money on them I think it's a mistake.

However, if they are losing money I can see moving their EV tech they already have to something like pickup trucks to fill that demand. win win.

 

The Bolt EUV does not have a high profit margin at all.

Only because production capacity on the 911 is capped, they could sell twice as many - but they don't make enough.

 

I'm guessing the loss leader Bolt was not sustainable. There are tons of 'em around here. My neighbors are on their 2nd Bolt lease.

If a company is serious about EVs, they dhould design one from the ground up.
Isn't the Equinox somewhat of a compromise?

 

The Equinox EV is not a converted ICE Equinox. It sits on GM’s BEV3 platform which is a EV-only platform shared with other upcoming GM electric vehicles.

 

Yep, if you look at the existing Equinox and the new EV side-by-side, they're not even remotely the same shape. They're just using established names of Equinox and Blazer to give themselves a head start from a marketing perspective, since the new EVs slot into roughly those same size classes.

 

Also have to make sure their EVs have an E somewhere in the name so they can use those blue bars for the E
