Picked up GR Corolla Monday. Fully Loaded Core. Havent driven much (waiting for ppf) but love the shifter and handling so far. Will update as I get more miles on it.
Ok ya'll don't laugh.
I picked up some red calipers like OP's pics above from Rock Auto.
Never done that before but felt like doing something sporty and daring....
No, I'm not putting up pics cuz let me tell ya'll- it works on OP's car above but not so much on a Lexus RX330.
Worst part is they were out of stock on the back wheels so I figured I'd go ahead and just do the fronts and see how I like it.
Yep, I have red calipers only on the front wheels, shame,,, shame lol
I don't predict a lot of sales. Probably not much of a market any more for this type of car in the U.S....one reason (among several) why we don't see the Subaru STi and Mitsubishi Evo any more. And, to be honest, I don't see a lot of U.S. market sales for the Hyundai Elantra N and Kona N, either.

This Corolla is a massive hit. You’re so WRONG. it’s not about just “sales”.

Eh? The SpoCom market is HOT right now in the US. Not sure if it will be in the next few years, but right now and maybe the last 2 years it has been very hot.
Even tho the GR Corollas just came out, they are very hard to find and high in demand, with the no-markup dealers having massive waitlists for them (Longo Toyota for example had closed the waitlist last year cause it filled up). Civic Si are being sold with markups, same thing with Civic Type Rs, with used models selling for nearly the same price as MSRP with 10-30k miles. Elantra Ns are incredibly difficult to find without markup and securing allocations (my friend has been trying to find one for a few months now), not sure about the Kona Ns.
Same thing with GR86s and new BRZs, very hard to find cars right now. The easiest one to acquire in this market is probably the WRX.. at least here in SoCal. The Subaru dealer next to the one I work at has 12+ models sitting at a time.. which is unheard of for the aforementioned cars.

Congrats on the GRC! Not sure what the break-in period is but make sure to honour it! And enjoy the **** out of it when it ends!
Yes! Congrats! Putting your money where your mouth is! Love to see it! Hopefully this will inspire mostly boring Toyota to continue making vehicles for enthusiasts at sensible non-ADM prices.

Congratulations on your new vehicle, B Dot....and my apology for not noting earlier that you had picked one up. I guess age is starting to get to me....that part of it just went right by me, and I thought at first that this was just a general posting.
