To me the big thing is the carpeting, if its black its not that big a deal. The seats in my Pacifica are almost white, but the carpeting is all black and the seats just clean right up, even with the kids and the dog.

Maybe part of the problem is that nobody defined what "Best Interiors" in the context of this discussion actually means.

Even grey can be horrible yes, black carpets are essentially required to have any chance at keeping it nice. I love light grey interiors but I've gotten my fill of them and have returned to dark brown seats and black for the rest.

Our 5 Series has Ivory White seats with contrast stitching and no issues keeping them clean. I wear jeans most of the time and don't have any dye transfer problems. The carpet is black and as mentioned, no issues there.

With some of my old Lexus’ I used to get light tan interiors and the dye from my jeans would turn the lower portion of the seats blue. It was a pain to clean the leather every couple of weeks so I just get dark brown or black interiors now.

Thats a very common issue that there’s really no way around. I don’t think it’s a big deal I just clean the seat bolsters when I wash the car

Most of my jeans and shorts are pre-washed and after 3 1/2 years I haven't needed to clean any blue off of the seats. Our X3 has light tan leather and same thing with them. Just routine light cleaning every couple of months or so. Maybe being pre-washed helps.

Maybe it’s the type of jeans my wife wears but I have to clean the seats of dye transfer regularly.

I have a black cashmere overcoat that also transfers dye, I used to have issues with it when I had my parchment and flaxen Lexus interiors. I don’t wear suits much anymore though so I rarely wear it.
