What do you think that they they could've done to make it feel more luxurious? I think the new NX interiors are super nice. But I prefer the pre face lift. I think it has a more unique looking center console.
But the best interiors(and exteriors) for me is the 2007-2015 GS's.
I agree that the NX interior is super nice as well. I’m attaching the response I gave to another poster.

And then they can replace the brushed aluminum accents on the steering wheel and window buttons with nickel or chrome. At least put the Lexus emblem in chrome so it can stand out. But that’s it! I love the simplicity of the cabin otherwise.
You have to understand that the NX is an entry level car. You're going to have hard plastic in places, its a requirement to deliver the vehicle at the price that they do. If you look at competitors vehicles at a similar price point, they are the same way, although some hide it better than others. Sit in a Mercedes GLB, its absolute garbage inside, the NX is WAY nicer. Move up to a GLC then the Mercedes is nicer than the NX, but the GLC is more expensive than the NX.
You're not going to have stuff "wrapped in leather" on an NX. A $130,000 Range Rover? Sure. But...its $130,000.

As I stated in my initial post, I’m new to the luxury segment. I’m learning as I go. I have started to understand this point as I’ve watched YouTube videos and looked at images of interiors of the competitive cars. Judging by the interiors of the Audi and BMW equivalents in this segment, the NX for sure blows them out of the water. Outside of those touches I shared above as my wishes in a perfect world, I love how the interior looks, especially in the palomino color.

The NX is all new, the BMW and Audi competitors are a generation behind, but the new NX is very nice inside I agree,

Audi largely sucks at doing mid/low end stuff, BMW is the worst by far but none of the Germans IMO make anything worth buying below a certain price/class.
This NX is a far more modern and contemporary design than MB or BMW at the same price point.
This is the same post as in the other thread, but thats largely because the BMW, MB and Audi vehicles it competes with are the prior generation. If you look at the new upcoming GLC (which yes, does overlap with the NX350 pricewise when both are optioned) that isnt the case:
Material quality in that NX in person also is a little disappointing

Partly true, but one also has to consider that Lexus itself is not an entry-level nameplate. That's part of the problem at Lexus......they started forgetting that back around 2006-2008 or so.

But the NX is still an entry level car. if you look at any of the luxury entry level models they ALL have hard plastic etc in places, its just how it is. RX is a little better than the NX...because it costs more.
And yes, a Lexus ES or Lexus IS ALWAYS had significantly reduced material quality to a GS or LS, thats just how it is. You didn't see as much hard plastic in them as you do now, but you also didn't have anywhere near the feature content or technology you have now, and with inflation prices have held or even fallen some. Its a tradeoff.
I had both a new ES300 and a new LS430 at the same time, and the differences in the interiors were very clear.

If we compare dollars to dollars, it is almost always worth more with Lexus, interior or not. So picking too similar vehicles with similar prices, Lexus will always give you more. Either more quality material or features.

Did you mean 3GS or 4GS? In any case they both look nice but IMO the interior of the 4GS looks more modern/luxurious/sporty. Unlike BMW, they did implement the aluminum trim nicely. Their wood trim looks luxurious for the dollars too.

I personally don't see any "more modern and contemporary design" in this one compared to the one generation behind X3 and GLC. What happened to the negative comment about exposed cup holders? I thought this is a bad design. No?

Notice I only said design? This is MB is a cut above Lexus
this ^^ is the competition the NX is after
