Advice on new Car / SUV…..
That's why I pressed on the GLE350. Perfect vehicle for the need. To be honest, driving an X5 as daily, I really don't see why all the negative comments. Sure it's not a performance SUV but it serves well for other needs.
No doubt, and it just overall elevates the whole feel of the car
X5 is an awesome daily, who is giving negative comments?
It depends on what kind of feel you want. Its a luxury vehicle, if someone doesn't care about how well the car drives when going to get groceries they should just buy a Toyota or a Ford.
And those that buy brand name cars for groceries and alike reasons buy for a different reason.Really? Have you driven the GLE350... to get groceries on a daily basis?
It's not worth what they ask for IMO if you are a car person and for a car in simple/normal use for someone who is not a car guy/gal it's just a pointlessly expensive badge engineered car.
my brother-in-law just got his second GLC 300d (uk, so diesel). yup, a 'puny' 4 cylinder diesel no less. guess what, it's extremely refined, plenty fast enough for him or anyone really, and doesn't sound 'bad' at all.
sure the 6s and 8s have more grunt, less or better noises, but if quiet and loads of power is desired, then those 6s and 8s don't cut it compared to an EV.
but then again, i see CR rated the 2022 GLE as the LEAST RELIABLE CAR!

I think the feeling is mutual. Can we all agree that most “non car person” doesn’t really care about a “car person” opinion? But a “car person” always bring a bag of opinions and “I know it all” mentality.
Most “non car person” owns the car that most “ car person” wishes they have.
Crazy I know. Both have 24 hours a day but with different mindset.
Carry on…..

Remember I said the E350 I had as a loaner didn't strike me as any better than the Kia K5 rental I had.

I mean...if you have driven an GLE350 and a GLE450 and want to disagree with us fine, but I'm pretty sure you havent

that makes no sense at all. the gle, regardless of engine, brings a refinement of ride, design, materials, etc. that no toyota or ford does.

EVs even on the top end are well behind flagships for quality and overall ride refinement and noise. The EQS is a great example of the gap
And yes, I've driven it... a lot. But again I'm not a real car guy. Lol
