On the GA-L architecture? If not it won’t be a competitor to the X7.

Spoiler alert, it won’t be. So this is a QX60 MDX competitor.

18 months.... a year and a half. So it's coming out in 2024, a year after the next RX?

Lexus needed a proper three-row crossover yesterday, the bean counters better be smarter than this rumor suggests.

You can get an RX with three rows.

And with an extra 4" of overall length compared to the 2-row RX, it's super roomy back there....

That's why @Motorola used the phrase "proper 3-row crossover". As in, a crossover with a third row inhabitable by bipeds.

Have you seen one inside? Literally its impossible to use both the second and third rows unless one of the rows of occupants has no legs lol

I bet people will just buy the new Sequoia over this. I mean why wouldnt you other than the badge? For similar money, they can op for the Capstone model, get a standard hybrid V6TT instead of what will probably be a hybridized 2.4t crappy 4cyl in the TX.

I can see that happening as well. Unless you really want full time 4wd, which the sequoia doesn't offer but the TX likely will.

TX will not offer full time either. It will offer electric AWD or on-demand systems. Not having a full time AWD system on the Sequoia was a big miss.

Only remaining US spec full time 4WD is the 4Runner Limited. Once they change the generations over, I don’t think you’ll ever see a Toyota SUV with full time 4WD ever again. Unfortunate and sad as Toyota has had such an offering for 30+ years now

My mistake, I should have called the system by a different name. I agree regarding the Sequoia, I would have looked at one if so!

Sadly its looking that way! My hope is the next GX keeps the full time system like the new LX. Then I will be "forced" to get another GX over the 4runner. Here in WI, one needs a full time 4wd option.
