MotorWeek's Pat Goss Passes Away (msn.com)

 

Sad. I've been watching him for 30+ years. RIP. Wonder when John is gonna call it quits. Glad he's slimmed down for his own health, probably has diabetes which will get a person that age to get skinnier quick. I love Motorweek.

 

We've already been discussing his passing in the Scanner-Diagnostic Thread. He was a real expert in that field.

I am a big Motorweek fan too! This is sad. I hope John's remains healthy. So many good memories of various show episodes.

Was just about to post this, very sad. For a while the Ford dealer that I had my old Explorer serviced at operated as "Goss' Garage" and I got to met him a couple times.

That’s really sad.

 

I'll miss his great maintenance tips! He recently had been working on restoring a previous project vehicle. I was looking forward to seeing that project completed. MotorWeek certainly won't be the same without him. Cool that you were able to meet him!

 

I noticed his YouTube channel had gone quiet the past few weeks and I wondered if he was okay...

 

Such a loss, as others have said, I grew up loving his segment and the way he'd respond and walk through the questions.

 

"If you have a question, write to me...."

 

"and if we answer your question on the air we'll send you a Motorweek t shirt". I'll miss him and his segment.

 

This is very sad. The show will never be the same.

 

Wait, there was a REAL Goss' Garage??

 

Oh yeah, there are several actually. He's a real mechanic/shop owner. He also has a local radio show and has for a long time.
