MotorWeek's Pat Goss Passes
production show at all, doesn’t need to be.
Today I watch clips of it on YT.
Yeah Pat was 80. How old is John Davis does anybody know?
According to Wikipedia, he turns 78 tomorrow.
I wonder how many shows were already recorded with Pat in them. I have noticed that they sometimes run old Goss' Garage segments in new shows. I still think that this will probably be the last season of the show, at least with John.

True. Some of the earlier media-articles were wrong......they had him at 76.
John was born March 23, 1944, so that will make him 78 years old tomorrow. Happy Birthday, John.

I hope it's not the last season of the show. I Love John's unique, relaxingly & familiar voice coming into my living room.
But whether it's the last season or not, for some reason this show pulls me to watch EVERY week! Maybe it's the "simplicity" of the show without pop-up ads; all the nagging about Liking & Subscribing etc. In this case, what may seem like 'low budget' to some is welcomingly refreshing to me.
I have noticed the younger 'eye candy' models (not sure they qualify as car enthusiasts), and would prefer less to no eye candy for full focus on the cars. I feel these are some of the changes the younger Davis is implementing,
Also note, the mini segments of Success Stories, which showcases certain regions/communities that have gone Green with Natural Gas etc,, is nice and the Energy Impact Scores of the number of barrels of oil used per year is eye opening.
Anyway, Motorweek is enjoyable car reviews and simplicity at it's best!

back to pat... to think this man worked right until the 'end'... is that admirable or not? i guess the old saying is true though, if you love what you do, it isn't work. i think pat truly liked helping people.
My Grandfather kept on practicing law into to mid 80s, albeit part time and at his own pace. He was a trust and estate attorney.
If you work deep into retirement age, but your significant other wants you to ease up and spend more time together, traveling or whatever, then I think it's a mistake. But if continuing to work does not interfere with other aspects of your life and relationships, and you truly enjoy it, then go for it.
