Thankfully it didn't get the beaver teeth with the refresh. IMO the 8GC is currently the best-looking BMW. For whatever reason though, the more powerful mild hybrid version of the B58 from the 5 Series refresh didn't get carried over.
I think it's only alright. Compared to the LC500, it looks boring and just overall similar to any other BMW in the lineup... What's up with these manufacturers adding all these lighting elements to the grille/emblems? Looks so tacky and out of place.

I agree about the coupe, it just looks like a blown up Mustang. The Gran Coupe though is my favorite design of all the coupe-sedans sold at the moment, even though it somewhat looks like a blown up Kia Stinger lol. It almost feels as if the GC was designed first and then the regular coupe and convertible were afterthoughts.

The i8 is a much better at paying homage to the original 90ies 8 series, and it was introduced when EVs were actually cool, and you didn't have to adopt a cringe ideology to drive an EV. The current 8 series is just terrible, both the coupe and the sedan version. The glowing grille is already available on several other BMW models, it looks retarded.
As recently as just a couple of years ago I have said "I will own a BMW". Previously I came super close to buying a manual 335i, until the salesman pissed me off too badly. But lately, their styling direction (and continual elimination of manual transmissions) is turning me a bit sour on the brand. I just don't like their direction anymore.

They still have the sportiest line up of cars and SUVs.
The new M2 should be great and will have a manual.
I do agree the new styling is horrendous and its not just the grills.
