CT owners already put on 10k miles. Averaged 599 wh/mi which gave them ~200 miles on a full charge. Supercharging was slow too. Still really like it though

so i use miles/kwh (what my car displays) so i guess to convert to wh/mi i'd calc 1/[my number]*1000

so 3mi/kwh is 1/3*1000 or 333wh/mi ?

and going the other way...

whm = 1/mkw*1000
whm/1000 = 1/mkw
1000/whm = mkw

1000/599 = mkw for CT...

1.67mi/kwh

on the towing test, he got 90mi. for a full charge. but that was certainly a brutal test, towing 11,000lbs on a highway!

Always like his videos. The other factor there was the temperature. Not insanely cold, but cold enough to have some impact on range.

the 'test' was certainly unrealistic (and basically click bait). who uses a relatively small pickup of any kind to tow 11,000lbs 90 miles?

He has done it with the other electric trucks. Rivian in the similar conditions with A/T tires went ~100 miles. Lightning in the summer with AS tires went 130.

Cant knock it and call it a “small pickup” when it has a tow rating of 11k. Thats today’s 1/2 ton truck capacity. Sucks you have to drop the trailer to charge and looks like it took him almost 1hr to charge to 80%. It was showing 40 min remaining at 20% and I believe he arrived with 2%. On the plus side he said it only cost him $13 to charge to 100% at home.

200 miles unloaded 🥴 not efficient whatsoever.

They're starting to build pull through chargers for people towing but it's still pretty rare

As someone who owns and tows a boat, I can confirm that pull-through fueling at gas stations isn't exactly ubiquitous either.

Use the pumps on the furthest outside. At least that’s what I do.

Yes, some station layouts work fine with a trailer, but a lot of them don't. The point is the trailer problem isn't unique to EVs or public charging.

Imagine your towing in inclement weather and have to unhitch to charge🥴
