I scheduled a test drive tomorrow. They will bring the car over to my house for a 30-min test drive. I went to the Polestar Space in Laguna Beach last Sunday (weird location along PCH) and sat inside. I'm almost certain I'll place an order by the end of this week. Adding Pilot and Plus packages with a towbar hitch. I'm wondering why I haven't seen this yet on the road here in OC.

Test drive went very well. Demo unit had all the packs - Pilot, Plus and Performance. I like that the 1-pedal braking has different settings. Was also able to fit my bike rack in the hitch receiver. Just need to finalize the lease numbers. Thanks again (and to MDlexus)!

You do it all online, make sure you keep checking your account, because you may think you are finished, but there will be next steps you need to complete to finalize your order

 

My 2022 PoleStar 2 will be delivered January 3rd! According to some unwritten rule, I've now officially lost my enthusiast license and am now a snob. So be it

I could have gotten it as soon as the 26th, but I am going to be going out of town and I want to do one last trip with my IS350. I would be too tempted to drive the PoleStar. That and the Fed tax write off goes up Jan 1st!

I plan to floor my IS350 all the way to SoCal, making up for the carbon footprint I'll be leaving behind...

 

good for you, AMIRZA786! I'm still waiting to hear back from P* regarding my order. I think we ordered a couple of days apart. I might have to cancel and just get one from their pre-configured cars.

 

Make sure you keep logging into your account to check status. There are items in a checklist that become available as the order moves along that you have to complete to go to the next step. You should have also been assigned a rep that will email you (my sales rep's name is Joshua), you can email him or her for questions. Unfortunately you don't get email alerts when you need to go to the next step. For example, after placing the pre-order, I logged into my account a day later and saw that they wanted me to fill out their credit app. Yesterday the delivery step became active, if I didn't check I may not have known. You've probably seen it already, but it should look like this:

My new toy arrived! The whole process took 20 minutes. The guy arrived, we signed the paperwork, he showed me all the key features and left!










I'll post a more detailed review on it when I've driven it for awhile. One thing I will say...this is the way to buy a car...test drive, order online, get it delivered!
