I had seen the exterior already from an industry friend but was expecting more in the interior. It doesn't seem any more opulent than the current model.

Same. It looks completely interchangable with the current Jaguar XF interior.
Nice evolution. Yeah the interior looks like it's sister brand Jaguar. Perhaps the two companies should just consolidate into one
Jaguar is pretty much dead weight at this point with non-existent sales and a shrinking product lineup, I expect the brand will get axed or sold off by Tata within the next 2-3 years to prioritize Land Rover production.

They just axed Jaguar models that were supposed to be coming around now on the Range Rover's MLA platform as part of "Project Reimagine" that has Jaguar being relaunched as electric-only in 2025. I have doubts they'll make it that long.
I like how they left out the part that they would have to take the EV platform from another brand since they don't even want to put in the resources to develop it. Jaguar is pretty much already a zombie brand.
In retrospect, it's interesting how Land Rover has always been able to retain a stable brand identity despite all the times its ownership has been transferred, while Jaguar seems to try to "reinvent" itself at least once a decade since the Ford days. It's obvious which brand has a future and which doesn't.
Talked to someone who's seen it in person back in the summer. They said everything looks cheap in these leaked photos but it's beautiful inside and out in person. Let's hope so.

They have no choice unless they completely rebadge something from another automaker. Car development takes time and they've already killed everything that was in progress.
