Eventually you will realize I have never ever made such a statement.

It is also not true. And Toyota is selling crazy number of hybrids in Europe now.

There is also no doubt they should be behind VW and others in EV race, and all of them are behind Tesla.

Until, they all address the charging network lead that Tesla has, I think Tesla will continue to lead the pack.

Btw, what exactly is "crazy number of hybrids in Europe"? I assume the bulk of these is the Rav 4 Prime?

It's a fact that global emissions are killing off high-displacement engines. It's not up for debate like the future of EV's. Nobody bought the LS460 because it had a V8? Puh-lease.
I am talking Toyota scrapping V8's. They weren't very big sellers but clearly it was needed for the LS to have decent success although the lack of a V8 is not the only issue with the LS. Toyota did not put the 8 cylinder in many cars, many of the cars they put it in did not sell that well or sold poorly, SC430, RC-F, GS-F, GS430/460, LC500 but that also had to do with how high they were/are priced. They seem to think a turbo V6 can take the place of a V8 but that clearly did not work for the LS but it does not seem like they care or learned the lesson. I don't think they will have as much success with the Landcruiser or Tundra losing its V8 but it seems it will be replaced by a turbo V6. They may still do a new turbo V8, it seems to be a on and off thing, they built one to test for the LC-F so who knows. I think other companies like GM, Ferrari, or Mercedes who sell a lot more V8's aren't going to give it up any time soon no matter what they declare, we will see, if there is a market for them, especially in the US and some other markets without these stupid regs I think they will find a way to keep them going.
