It looks good from the 3/4 angle, from the rear. From the front 3/4 angle, not so much.
As an "early adopter," are you apprehensive at all about the design flaw that requires removal of the cab to service the turbos? Has there been any follow-up on this controversy?
That pictured Tundra looks good from any angle IMO. The cheapo ones look, well, cheap from almost every angle.

i personally think the truck looks great at all angles. no apprehension. my experience, which mileage varies for each person, is there was a couple of photos that showed a lifted cab with a quote talking about needing to remove the cab to service turbos. that went viral so to speak. there have been a number of other self claimed toyota techs in those same social channels that chimed in and said they replaced/serviced turbos without removal of the cab. my approach is just filter out the noise (social media, etc) and enjoy the truck. if it has issues, i'll take it in.
That is true. The worst ever interior was the 07-12 reg cab tundra base. Just awful
Not to drag this into V8 stuff again, but if you mean just the most basic white ones single cabs with black mirrors, door handles, work trucks with the 5.7, can you even imagine how fast those must have been? Those weighed like 5200lbs, I have a truck that's a thousand pounds heavier with the same engine that will run 0-60 in 6.5 seconds and manages to feel quite light on its feet.
I'm sure the basic W/T of this new one will light the tires up too.

There's a good thread about it on the Tundra forum and, like @sensai stated, you do not have to remove the cab to address the issue.
Saw a 1794 which I believe is the second highest trim, looked great and properly high end and expensive. I think these look great, as good as the rest. I think it looks better than the Dodge. That new Denali, roughly the same.
I'd love to drive one of these and check out the new engine but I don't want to waste a salesman's time.
thanks for sharing your firsthand experience @sensai !
you really can't compare MPGs with the 5.7 supercharged and lifted with bigger tires to your newer one ! do you plan on lifting it as well?
thanks! yeah just a level kit because i want to retain avs. it's really cool to have avs in the truck for comfort and sport+ modes. westcott designs level with avs support should show up any day now i hope. have method wheels and open country tires in the garage waiting for the kit. it will look something like the truck in this vide except a silver truck. same exact wheels and tires.
