I picked up my '23 TRD PRO last week. There are no squeaks or rattles. The build quality is solid. It has pleasant manners on the road and it is extremely comfortable.
Nice, curious what your fuel economy ends up being. In the Capstone it was pretty low for our week. Under 16 mpg
First road trip in the TRD PRO in probably the worst driving conditions I've experienced in the mountains. Nearly 400KM's of driving on ice, packed moguls and then there was the wind. The truck performed flawlessly.
I averaged 14.3 L/100KM's or 16.5 MPG driving on AT tires. I find this to be excellent for a brand new truck in crazy conditions coupled with city driving. Parking was fun

Yes, it is fun to take a beast through hell. The sense of driver confidence is wayyyy up there.
How often did you have to switch in and out of 4WD? I find lack of A-4WD the only real negative of this truck (no offense).
Hey no offence taken. I was in and out of 4WD all the time during this trip. At least it's easy to do. I'm mostly indifferent about it, but given a choice I'd have opted for A-4WD. For example when my wife is driving. She's an excellent driver, but it's just one more thing to manage.
I wish they'd have put in tow hooks for the PRO. I'll probably end up with a CBI covert front bumper at some point.
Here's one of the semis we saw that flipped. The tow trucks are enormous.
You can see the road conditions.

I don't think any Tundras come with front tow hooks which is another strange omission.
How do you get the huge light below the "TOYOTA" to turn on?
Those are horrible road conditions, haven't been in any like those in years. Glad the truck performed well and you're happy with it.
That's right not one of them. The other models come equipped with an air dam which deploys at speed to help with aerodynamics, but the PRO doesn't have that...makes no sense to not have tow hooks. Anyway...no vehicle is perfect
To use the light bar the brights need to be on and then press this button:

The LX600 has tow hooks on the front. My 4Runner Limited has them but you actually can’t see them as they are hidden behind a plastic panel which hides the hook. Toyota has been making trucks and SUVs for decades….unbelievable that Toyota doesn’t have them standard on their off road “PRO” model Tundra. This criticism is warranted as that is the only way they can get better
No argument from me. Of all the models they ought to have had tow hooks as standard is on the PRO.
The other safety area are the tires that come standard on the PRO. They are touted as Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tires. While technically they are they do not come with the three peak mountain snowflake rating. So I replaced them immediately. The guys at the tire shop indicated that other manufacturers are also doing this.
