Wife and I were house shopping in CA over the weekend and I can't believe how many of them I saw down there. I see quite a few here, but nothing like down there.

I'm starting to see more, too. More expensive ones.
On another related note I saw a Capstone (not in person) in a different color than the white, it didn't look half as expensive as the white we've all been saying so many good things about.
my last update was at 1,500 miles. i'm at 2,800 now. really love this truck and for context i also have a 08 supercharged base trim i've owned since new, so have 14yrs of ownership experience with the 2nd gen and it's 5.7L v8.
if you have avs and rear air leveling they come from factory/port adjusted low in the rear to a point where you will likely bottom out on the bump stops on not so bumpy roads. i love the fact that they provided a simple 5min solution of adjusting a rear sensor arm by loosening a 10mm bolt, adjusting it and retightening. did that and the ride is so much more smooth without hitting bump stops. lifted rear about an inch, maybe a little more.
i did 240miles round trip this past weekend, mostly level but some slight hills. in comfort mode, not even eco, i got 19.9 mpg's. yay! that's great since the 08 with fox stage 4 lift and 33's gets about 9-10mpg. my daughter who is prone to motion sickness was fine. that is a huge win (avs comfort mode). lol. yeah, i love this truck.
Only saw one thus far, which was a base model. Looked absolutely pathetic. Tiny tiny wheels with huge fender flares. It was a clown show. If I recall, the base Tacoma of a few years ago had the same tiny wheels over a big body. I guess in other countries this is acceptable.
It looks good from the 3/4 angle, from the rear. From the front 3/4 angle, not so much.
As an "early adopter," are you apprehensive at all about the design flaw that requires removal of the cab to service the turbos? Has there been any follow-up on this controversy?
