According to Al Gore and all the climate freaks shouldn’t we have been underwater 21 years ago? Florida still exists!

We aren’t talking about the same thing, or view “government” differently. Uncle Sam does not tell me what to drive. My truck is worst on some stupid green list, I laugh it off. Nature of the beast.

One feature he showed which I am not sure if it is available anywhere else, the auto start stop only activates if you use brake hold. The best implementation of that feature I have seen.
Much better color. 50 miles is a little short for an average I think but that’s still good to see better real world MPG.
Still no road tests I just don’t get this. GM has update theirs, I believe the F150 is new. The Ram is nicer than ever. Probably a massive comparison test coming, yum.

Toyota has been quiet about auto-start-stop. Sad to hear this new Tundra has it.

That's brilliant! I hardly ever use the hold feature. The only time I do is if I am going through an area with very long traffic lights, which would be perfect for the engine to be off.

So you can't turn off the start/stop when you have HOLD on? I'm confused, if that's how it is I don't like it.

Agree, and nice observation. I haven't heard a thing about it until this.
That's my understanding. The auto start/stop doesn't ever come on unless you are using the hold feature. I would not be surprised if there were a menu option or if it were configurable via techstream to unlink those two things, but I don't know for sure.

If this is how you dismiss climate change, there's no chance I or anyone else will ever convince you to care about the future of the planet and future generations of people.
I'm not attempting to convince you to drive a Prius. I'm only asking you to consider the environment in terms of your fuel usage and in what vehicles you choose to drive. If I can't change your thinking to any degree, at least I tried.

Great, let's move on. Please lecture the climate czar who thinks like you yet scoots around the world on a private jet, not me.
Also google what cargo ships and jets emit. I grin when I gun my V8s because I like them.

In the demo on the video, it tops and then starts up again because it is too hot outside, for what to save a little gas? The truck is $60K...that should hardly be of any worry. Toyota does indeed list it on their website

It would just inflate the price. Trucks are for work Some of the gimmicks are kinda over-the-top A power plug and all that stuff is important, but I'd rather see Toyota do something like full-time 4WD like your LX and my 4Rs have. Or maybe auto-4wd

I didn't know it was part-time. Auto 4WD is nothing new, not sure what the problem is.
