I'm absolutely in love. Spent much of my morning surfing through the available pictures and articles. I think it looks great and the interior is wonderful!
Maybe this is slightly biased but I personally love it. Where is a damn road test?
I would always miss the V8 feel and sound, that said with the new engine this thing will fly and puts down some hella legit power numbers. I just hope turbo lag is minimal, because it's a hindrance in the LS500, very noticeable.

I'm sure we'll get "first drives" within a month, but I wouldn't expect full road tests until December-January.
Seeing the many positive reactions to it here, hard to say its a "fatal flaw"

Toyota got this Tundra right. The last gen they cut a lot of corners. C-channel frame, weak marketing and bad luck with the recession. There was too much bravado. This time the quality is there, then you add things like a coil rear suspension, adaptive variable suspension, air in the rear. Big touchscreen. Finally a full boxed frame A very good hybrid power train option with a CTV and instead it is married to a 10-speed. Not one but two different tow haul modes.
Not sure if you read the press release, lots of suspension work has been done, so this truck should perform much better in the handling and ride department. Looks are subjective...so that doesn't really matter.

For me, the Tundra's "butter face" is a fatal flaw. My guess is the positive reactions here are more for the long-awaited, great, new tech, which may be clouding people's judgement and acceptance of the off-putting front fascia. Anybody who seriously likes the front-end design, please chime in and prove me wrong! A few years of sales figures will tell us more, although, admittedly, there are a lot more factors to sales than looks. I'm anxiously awaiting the on and off-road test scores and especially the MPG ratings!
BTW...the engine compartment looks completely cramped, which will be problematic for maintenance and repairs. My 2001's engine compartment is cavernous by comparison. Even if one doesn't do their own maintenance work, understand that the level of difficulty of maintenance will carry over to what one pays a shop in labor costs.

Would you be buying a new full sized pickup truck anyways? I think its safe to say no...so who cares? Look at full sized trucks today, the styling of this Tundra is 100% on trend. Like it or not.
