I've seen a few of these around. I think, much like the new Sequoia, they look really good, which makes it all the more disappointing that they didn't do better on the interior packaging.

There are no LX600s at the Lexus dealer but there's a Sequoia there, lol.
I still desire one of these pretty badly, and like the design. I hate the engine but I'm sure I'd get used to it.
No question the competition is way better for the 98% of stuff Americans would use them for, but there is still a market (even if teeny) that wouldn't drive anything else. These are really exclusive, which has done nothing but elevate LX name status in my opinion.
I saw an old school LX450 yesterday and thought "That was the worst, most rushed rebadge job ever (but it was still an 80 so who cares) and now look at what the LX name has turned into, it's one of the most exclusive SUVs you can buy."
I'm getting the Sequoia TRD Pro in for review in about a month. Very excited to see what this chassis does with the off-road-tuned shocks, fatter tires, and added power from the hybrid setup.
Also, the LX 600 computer says I've averaged 16.8 MPG over the last week, which I'd say is about 55-60% highway driving. Not impressive, but not horrible for a large SUV with sport mode engaged.
Chevrolet has a new V8 for their Corvette, so no you are not correct. . Sad for Lexus has they are gonna god down as the only brand that never had a V8 turbo engine.

Its for their trucks, not for the new Corvette from what I read
these dinosaurs (lx and sequoia) are on their way out... they're just not competitive.
Sequoia is crap but I do like this LX600 minus a few changes they made, it's a wholly competent vehicle even if it's outclassed in room, etc. They're gonna sell every single one they send here, like always.
It's not competitive to an Escalade, Navi, X7, etc. but there is a market for these and they do serve a purpose.
