The Q7s though, is positioned almost entirely below the bumper. There is a slight cutout (less than an inch) in the underside of the bumper for clearance, but it doesn't come through the bumper like the X7 does. It's less obtrusive than the Lexus RX:
and the GX is a totally different level of in your face:
In the Lexus lineup, only the LX has a cover for the hitch.
The RX looks bad but I don’t even think you can get hitch from the dealer or factory. GX should have one but bugs me less so. Perhaps the Germans actually want people to see that there is a hitch for marketing reasons as they wouldn’t be know for towing based on their history MB G class excluded.
200s were clean, though honestly if it takes more than 2 seconds to get it up and going, cover off, lights and brakes connected I will get annoyed fast. Boat will be here within a few weeks, can't wait to tow with this.
Just watched a video from Raiti’s Rides on the new Sequoia and he must have read this thread because he pointed out the fact that it has a nice tow hitch cover.
Cool Never knew it was possible to get a hitch from Lexus on a RX. Learn something new every day.
Yup, we had one on our 2007. Ordered the OE hitch and installed it in my garage--threaded holes were already in the frame, so it was pretty straightforward.
Saw the vehicle in person today, it was locked and we couldn't sit in it, but it was an eminent white pearl UL model with a black interior. It looks nice, but nobody who doesn't know Lexus would know it was new, and it got zero attention. My business partner was with me and he couldn't believe it was all new.

I don't think it will do well. Not in the United States at least. I wonder if those enthusiasts who bought Land Cruiser over the years will bite.
Yep, I agree. They will sell 4,500 or so a year here.
What I think Lexus will do is start doing more off road stuff like LR. they have a triple locker LX600...my guess is GX and LX go this route in the future. In TO they have the off road GX concept last time.

I remember Carmaker posting that the next gen GX would be more offroad focused...
