besides the acura-esque (bad) dual screen infotainment stack and gigantic grill, i think this is a really solid upgrade.

power fold flat 3rd row is a solid improvement, and i'm sure the chassis and drivetrain are overall better.

f-sport has the mesh grill instead of the horizontal bars... a big improvement imo.

Agree, they all look great but the F-Sport especially.

The higher trims simply have no 3rd row, however. But on the ones that do, yes at least they fold flat now.

Drivetrain? Eh, better economy yes but the 5.7 is better overall...less parts, under-stressed, and proven (and juicy). Imagine the fire breathing monster V8 we'd have with the new one if no CAFE.

Overall I love this 300LX more than ever. I really like the LC too, hope Toyota brings it back.

People will buy more RRs than these but I don't think LX and RR are as cross shopped as some may think. They are both cult vehicles, fierce loyalists.

Wow, $130K. That's a huge jump from the current model in price and in full Range Rover V8 territory.

I agree, I doubt these two will be cross-shopped.

LX600 is a special vehicle for a very special buyer. Very different than those that buy RR.

Thats the fully fully optioned model with those captains chairs in the rear etc, hardly anybody will buy that. A RR optioned that way is $160k.

Middle East the LX four seater will be very popular. Doubtful in America.

Pricing isn't bad at all. I would get the F-Sport with Mark Levinson which would probably be around $105k.

But that's a significantly larger car (extended wheelbase) and also comes standard with a V8. I don't think it's at all comparable to that trim of the LX.

It is comparable. The bottom line is if you want that level of executive seating in the rear of a Range Rover you have to spend FAR more. Most LXs sold will be ~ $100k with options, and that doesnt even get you into the most basic Range Rover. That means its still a good value.

The other LX trims are fine, it's merely the Ultra Luxury that isn't sensibly priced. Adding some nicer captain's chairs shouldn't bring the price up by almost $25K.
