Yep, and even then a lot of powertrain comes from the same suppliers - transmissions, various engine modules.

Amazing, it sounds almost like how they build computers.

The crazy part is they are tied with contracts with these suppliers so they can’t change/update the interior even if they wanted to.

I just think it’s silly that almost every automaker is going to this rectangle iPad screen for the gauges instead of having it integrated in the dash.

MB, BMW, Genesis, Kia etc all use the same exact screen lol

Its not just the ipads, for instance Harman now owns pretty much all automotive audio systems, including ML, and even those systems that they don't own, such as Bowers & Wilkins, are often still Harman systems licenses to be branded as B&W or whatnot. And everything else in modern cars just feels very similar inside and out.

Back to the GV60- we finally see it in colors that aren't the leftovers of a rave gone wrong. Too bad the rims once again look like they belong on a different car.

Judging from the size of the driver's head in the pic above, this car is tiny. Smaller than the EV6 and Ionq 5 for sure. The cabin sits up far more upright than either.

Funny enough, this was announced today. Pretty sure this is what will be the Kia equivalent to the GV60 in size.

New Kia EV4 on course to grow electric SUV range

It's ugly as sin inside and out, it is a shame the masses taste in vehicles is so bad in the past decade or so that car companies come out with designs like this thinking they will like and buy them.

They' have no intent on removing replacing those screens with an in-cluster solution. You still need to look to your sides to ensure you're driving safely and the screens are positioned to facilitate that.

There's been ugly cars at every point of automotive history.

Yes but not so many as there have been in the past 10 years or so.

Well to be fair, we have far more many models available across manufacturers now than we did before, at least in the U.S.

Looks tons better in the non-neon colors, but overall smacks of Porsche SUV caught in a trash compactor. That rear side window chrome design makes me think "Kia, brought to you by the Atlanta Falcons!" or maybe a Star Trek haircut sideburn. Interior screen graphics (not the side mirror screens) have a cool design.

Colors and wheels aside, I don't see anything about this design that stands out enough to be ugly or attractive. It doesn't even have the more controversial Genesis design elements like the giant grille. It's just a bland blobby shape with no character lines like a smaller version of the Mach E and Model Y and looks like it was designed almost exclusively for Euro market tastes, where they prefer small and more understated vehicles.

Take away the badges and brand name and there's nothing on this that really looks like it has anything to do with Genesis's current designs.

Looks worlds better in 'normal' colors. Black out the trim on the sides and it's a pretty sweet looking electric ute!
