Default Horrible dealer experience, need help

Good day, everyone
So, guys, here's my issue:
I live in TX, in January 2021 I bought my LX570 from Lexus of Annapolis in MD and untill this day I have no plates and no registration, I'm on my 4th set of temp tags and I am losing it, 7 months to get my cars plates and registration is a bit of stretch.

Called them numerous times and all I was told was " we sent the paperwork in" by a lady in the tag and title office, which has never asked me any of my info or my car info (weird, right?).

In June I was told that they have filed a wrong payoff for my car and trying to fix (?), Ok .

Now a lady from the tag and title won't even pick up when I call or simply says "it's not tag and title" when the receptionist sends me to the office.

Today I called TX DMV and MD DMV again and both offices told me that they have no info on the car after I provided them with the VIN.

So, at this point all I want is to drive this LX right through the wall of the dealer.

I can't sell it, I can't trade it in, I have the car, I'm paying for it but I cant register it.

At this point I don't want it anymore and I want them to take it back and give me my money that I paid.
I honestly thinking of getting a ticket and flying there to talk to them face to face, but I don't think it'll get me anywhere.

Tomorrow I am supposed to get a call from my bank regarding that issue and a call from another person in the tag and title office.

What are my options, guys?
Go talk to a lawyer?
Call Lexus USA?

Your input is welcomed whether it's serious or funny

Update #1
Called Lexus USA and filed a complaint.
Called the dealer and spoked to the general manager, explained him the situation and was told he will call me back.

Update #2
Just received a call from my bank saying they have never received the title from the dealer.

Update #3
Received a phone call today from a case manager at Lexus USA and was told they will be contacting the dealer regarding the issue and will get back to me tomorrow.

why can't you register it in tx, i assume because you don't have a title?

when i got my lc from out of state, dealer provided temp 30 day tag. i just took it to the tag office here, paid my state's sales tax, and got reg, new title, etc. it was cake.

also, i wouldn't expect a maryland dealer to get you texas tags and a plate.

do you have a lawyer friend? might be time to get a certified letter to the dealer laying out the situation and what you want/expect to happen (based on what they committed to, in writing, not what you wish).

Can you take your sales documents to the DMV and get the process started?

So, not a first time buying a car out of state, usually it takes a min to get my TX tags without going anywhere, since every single time dealer was dealing with that.
As far as my understanding goes, if I pay full amount then I go and register it here, but I'm making payments on the car, then I just wait for plates to come in the mail.
This is what I was told last time I bought my mom her RX in FL

As far as I know dealer handles that unless you buy a car right away, no loans

Dealers can do it but so can the buyer. I would call your DMV or get an appointment and do it yourself. I bought cars out of state and had to do the process myself multiple times.

Not for out of state typically, as bitkahuna noted.

Called TX DMV and they told me unless I was given everything and instructed to do so I register it myself.
Was told that dealer must submit the paperwork to my local tax office.
Last time I bought a Lexus in FL, same process, got my plates in the mail in 2 months

ok, so then i'd be on the phone, twice a day, to nag the dealer. they must have a way to follow-up too.
if not resolved in a reasonable time frame, get a lawyer.

If you submit the paperwork on how much everything costs and proof of financing, you can register it yourself. The DMV needs the paperwork though which I assume you kept (including all financing material). It makes no sense you can't do that as private party sales follow the same process out of state. I would schedule an appointment and bring all paperwork so that they can determine what the final sales tax to charge you for registration.

I'm waiting on a call back from general manager to see what he has to say, called him this morning and explained everything.
at this point I'm so fed up with it that I just want them to take the car back even though it's an amazing machine.

I asked the DMV that question and was told "unless you were instructed by your dealer to do so" 🤷‍♂️

Good luck with that, I assume the GM you talked to is Paul? Hopefully he can take care of it. I always got my Lexus vehicles service there since my friend worked there and it was great. Sad thing is I never bought a car from them. I tried a couple times but the process for me wasn’t good so I always went elsewhere.

Forgot to mention, what I would do is get all of your money for taxes and tags back from the dealer and tag/title it yourself with your bill of sale. All they were really doing is submitting that information on your behalf anyway.

A clarification....is the payoff issue you mentioned because your LX is a used vehicle the dealer took in trade and they are having a problem getting the title? Or is the payoff issue on a vehicle that you traded in and the dealer is having an issue getting the title on that vehicle? Or another issue?

Also, does your paperwork on the LX include a Bill of Sale?
