have you tried to take your stuff to the DMV with all the paperwork you have and see if it can be registered instead of trying to take all these 3rd parties fingerpointing word for it? Being there in person with documents and someone knowledgeable maybe very helpful.

At this time I suggest you consult a lawyer in MD you hav exhausted all options. This is a problem of buying a car long distance. He swings are not worth it.

Correct. You should have gotten the trade-in owner's title among your docs and you need to have a new title issued in Texas. Probably, since you have a loan, the title was provided to your lender, who would send it in to Texas for a new title showing the loan lien.

welcome to ClubLexus. rather a bold first post.

i bought my lexus last year sight unseen from an out of state dealer. might be the easiest transaction i've ever done. After paperwork and wiring money i arranged for the car to be transported to me and i picked it up off the truck. I then took it with the paperwork that was sent to me to the dmv and was done in about 20 minutes - got the plate, title, registration, etc. on the spot, no waiting.

Alright ,guys
An update:
After contacting MD DMV and MD state attorney's office, following up with Lexus USA and multiple calls to Sheehy Lexus of Annapolis( none of them were answered, so just voice mail asking for the status update politely), I've received a phone call today from the GM of Sheehy.
He said that the paperwork was sent, originally, to a wrong tax office and currently it is in my tax office and everything should be golden in 2-3 weeks.
I'm not sure whether they just got tired of me bugging them or were contacted by one of the stated organizations, but I feel relieved and, hopefully, I'll get my plates and registration soon.

I want to say thank you to all of you guys who shared their thoughts and ideas and tried to help, YOU ROCK!

Was told that dealer must submit the paperwork to my local tax office.
Last time I bought a Lexus in FL, same process, got my plates in the mail in 2 months

Sorry that you have to go through this situation specially purchasing from a Lexus dealer. I bought my GS-F from NC and they shipped it right away to west TX, then the dealer had sent the tax and the negotiated fees to the local tax office, I went to the local DPS without the dealer plates and get my registration done. I think as long as the dealer paid the county taxes and other fees as the closing of the deal, it should be fine to register it, but it seems like your bank has never received any documentation from them, so it would be better to join with your bank and use their legal team to pursue this matter.
Let's hope this gets resolved soon for you.

I have bought cars from Lexus of Annapolis, they are a good dealer. This happened with my 2017 LS460L bought from Lexus of Silver Spring, I had to have two sets of temp tags and it took forever because of a very similar issue.

So far, its seems to be resolved, will call my tax office on Monday and see if they really have the paperwork.

How are you liking the GS F?
Ive been having my eye on it for a minute and honestly thinking of trading my LX for it.

They seem like good people there I just don't understand why it took them almost 8 months to figure this out?

Its a big operation and it fell through the cracks. Its one customer out of the 300 or so cars they sell every month
