Just fyi, back in 2013 I had a deposit put on a Nissan EV, but they couldn't deliver it in NY and ended up refunding me. In 2020 when we were getting my wifes new X6M, the only other car we were considering was the Model X with whatever the fastest version was back then. Just couldn't get over it's terrible interior.
I just like you, is all. I thought dedicating my first Tesla to you would be a nice gesture

Didn't consider the Model 3 because it was a sedan. Need a hatch trunk as a family car.

Best of both worlds would be a smaller Model S with that fastback design.

Also no idea why Tesla made the suspension so stiff on the Model Y.

Good luck on your search.

Totally lame and I personally think the wheels under it are ugly too. It was a good reason to upgrade to aftermarket wheels. The Model 3 wheels underneath the aero covers are actually good looking wheels but all of the others are pretty bad.

I think the Arachnid wheels on the Model S look best. Aftermarket companies offer the same design. This is the setup I have on my car.

I like the Arachnids but paying $4,500 for heavy cast wheels that only come in 21” was a no go for me when I could get fully forged wheels for $4,000 that weigh 21lbs each in 20” that have more tire options.

Are those T-sport line wheels? I like those and Martians but the factory Model 3 wheels that are gunmetal in color are the ones I like for stock wheels.

I got the T-Sportlines but in 18 inch form because the 20 inch stock wheels were a bit too rough. I much prefer the 18 inch due to the bigger sidewalls...the 20 inch hit a pothole and cause a leak which I had to get fixed. Actually it happened twice so I decided the streets weren't nice enough for 20s

I broke even on the purchase as I was able to sell the 20s for a good amount. It took me about a week to sell...Tesla has huge used grey market on accessories. I like your thought process on getting the 20 inch forged wheels...much better decision. 21 inch are just too big and not enough sidewall. You have an air suspension so its much better for bad streets. The only solution on Model 3s is to get the 18 inch with thicker sidewalls.

BTW, I really dislike Tesla's decision not to go with the red calipers on the Plaid. THey've had the red on the performance models forever so seems like a step backwards for that.

Cant imagine 20” if those are 18”, they look pretty low profile to me.

I agree on the red calipers and was going to see if the performance calipers from the 3, old S or X would work but was told they are different on the refresh S.

That picture is the 20s. I've attached a pic of my 18s. Function over form for me.

I like the 19" Wheels that came with my Polestar, the only thing is the Michelin Primacy's which are very grippy and quiet, but have a very low tread wear number. At 4000 miles they are reaching 50 percent. When the time comes I'll probably change them out for Continentals ExtremeContacts DWS

Well, now that I have seen them, I can't un-see them. ugh. Toyota Corolla Hybrid does it as well.

They have begun shipping to customers but only in Austin. I think they want to understand if there are any issues next to factory so they can correct. Basically, those owners will be beta testers . Crazy...

Someone told me my mileage wouldn't be affected by my lead foot on my Model Y. I can say with certainty, that is false ..... :X

What? Mileage is always affected by the lead foot. In an EV, potential range isn't impacted by horsepower.
