It looks “fine”, kinda awkward. I don’t want a car that looks “fine” or awkward though, I want one I really like the looks of.

I bought the Lexus IS because of the looks...it was such a great looking car. I thought the Model 3 was "fine" and kinda awkward but certain angles, it looks good. The rear was the most important part though...as most people will see my taillights as I fly by

Of topic, but the refreshed IS is SO good looking, I've seen a few on the road now. Very sharp.

Did you like the spindle-grille on your LS460? Those grilles were (and are) a common source of negative poster-comments.

Yeah I thought my LS460 was great looking, especially the front end. I like the spindle grille on most Lexus products.

The only car I have ever owned I didn't like the looks of was my ES300.

I never like the looks of the 03ish ES300. I also hate the look of the current UX. Pre refresh GX looks good too. . Most Lexus models do look good. Spindle is hit and miss but the goal was to lose the boring stale appeal that LS460 07 and 07 ES certainly had. Sales were declining at some point and since the move to spider, they have done well.

Once again I take exception to your comments about the looks of the 07-12 LS460. Its beauty is timeless and NOT stale or boring.

Same for my wife with her IS and then Model 3. She was never completely sold on the front end.
After we tinted the windows it dramatically improved the look, at least to my eye. Visually it really lowers the roofline, which looked a bit bulbous from some angles. I was surprised how much I thought it changed the perception of the proportions.
