The Toyota Tundra hasn’t changed much since 2007! I had a 2006 & it was a damn good truck with absolute minimum maintenance issues. My Tundra wasn’t too bad on fuel for the size truck that it was. I could easily get 19 mpg highway, with an occasional 21 mpg if there was no wind.
The latest press release claims the future Tundra will not have a V-8, but instead a twin turbo V-6. I’ve driven a couple of Ecoboosts & they have plenty of power. I wasn’t impressed with their mpg & thus didn’t buy one. All things considered, I would welcome 18-20 mpg over the dismal 13-15 mpg currently. I just can’t get past the ugly! Dear God this new rendering is awful! Toyota must have turned loose their dimmest bulbs on this new truck. The interior is not on par with GM, Ford or Ram. The grill must have been beat with an ugly stick. Have a look:
Ugh! Stupid stuff like this from dumb media once again pisses the hell out of me OFF!
I have pretty much left crumbs around, but they are still rendering BS like this from Motor1 as credible. Carbuzz is much worse of course (peanut gallery of FB-based comment section).
This is point blank the 2022 Tundra. Let's end this today.
this cracked me up, but you speak the truth. Toyota is slow to change, when the last tundra came out i was young no kids. Now middle aged 3kids and losing hair.
The current gen Tundra never met the internal expectations for sales from Toyota..it also had the new expensive plant down in Texas that was not running anywhere near peak when Tundra was build in Indiana and Texas for a short while. The Tundra is by far the weakest volume product by Toyota....the delay really wasn't because Toyota is slow to change....it all has to do with money and profits as the competition from the domestic is far too good....why lose money....instead, Toyota extended production to recoup loses

I shared this with forum management last year, but didn't want a cease and desist risk.
The truck in your video is the exact same configuration as the butt-ugly one in the CarBuzz photo. The position of lights are identical. This will probably be another sales failure, with a fish mouth shovel grill & blacked out trim. It would look better if someone hit it several times with a 20lb sledgehammer. I showed the photo to my friend that’s on his 2nd Tundra & he not only said “no”, but “HELL NO!!” I think the F-150 is going to sell even more now.
I don’t think the truck in the video is the real deal.
Lets hope so, for Toyota’s sake! I’ve been anxious to see what’s coming & seriously considering the new Tundra, but I wouldn’t want that truck if it was given to me! I had to let the RX style work on me for over six months until I pulled the trigger. The grill is the biggest turn-off on both vehicles.

The original gen Tundra looked and had that legendary Toyota thing. Who knows what they are up to.
I really like the look of the current Tundra. It’s beefy, with just the right amount of chrome. The interior is dated, but it’s functional. If they had a diesel option, I would already be driving one.

Actually, whether it is a fake-image or not, it looks like a number of other newer Toyota products.....a Bulldog.

lol you do realize that’s the same truck you are comparing just the tundra is badly photoshopped based on the titan photo?
the tundra pics you posted are faked, not really any comparison you can make
Yes, I know the Titan & Tundra are photoshopped. The truck in the teaser video is identical to the photoshopped Tundra photo & they are both ugly. I don’t like bulldogs, so I guess I’m done if Toyota thinks they will keep me with that stance. I’ve seen better looking road kill.

Stupid Carbuzz copied that from Motor1, who lazily plastered on the fascia of the 780B program Tundra onto the 2020 Titan Pro-4X. I wasn't attacking you honestly, but please don't insult my intelligence, by calling them the same LOL. I have seen more of this truck and while the renderings emulated the front end, everything else is just wrong. Including the BS Motor Trend put out as well.
If you hate the front end, understandable. It's meant to be bold and in your face like 4Runner and upcoming Toyota BOFs.
Additionally, one thing I do not like is trolling by playing obtuse. The video I linked is from Toyota USA and obviously is the real truck itself. A lot of Tundra folks tried to speculate this video was for the Super Bowl, ignorant of the fact Toyota does not reveal vehicles in that manner, especially a full 10 months before market introduction. That was a teaser for personnel and associates only.
The user (not OP) who ridiculously claimed the linked video I provided is a fake, is definitely trolling and I welcome them to my ignore list going forward. You're not very clever, as it's a common pattern with you and I am tired of it like many others, including other Lexus forums. I am just left scratching my head how you continue to make such strong judgement statements knowing it's a fake picture...
It's like me saying I hate Gal Gadot's legs based on the photo below. Repeatedly.
Now sure you might not like it when the real thing comes out, too. But then your e-outrage exclamations can be genuine, lol.
