LOL, upper GM pic/scenario seems about right, direction of the brand and logo's designed by hipster millennials who hate cars and don't know anything about them.
Who's creating these auto company logos these days? Obviously, not graphic designers. Or, if they are graphic designers, who is hiring and directing them? Obviously, executives with no sense of design.

Sorry, but you can't slight me in this thread for citing my credentials in a different thread! I learned my lesson--Car Chat is strictly opinion-based; apparently, expertise is not required or appreciated!

That rolleye smiey wasn't the one I intended to use, I wasn't trying to be snarky I was trying to be funny. The winkie smiley next to it is what I was trying to use:
logos are pretty tough to design. they need to be able to look good in gray scale too, and be unique. to comment on this, i don't like it...looks entry level. use capital letters!

It's not that I dislike it: I'm neutral. Not unlike the new Kia logo, as Steve commented, "it's fine." But that's the problem. When multi-billion dollar companies hire expensive agencies to design new corporate identities, the product should be (delete f-ing word here) fantastic, not ho-hum! Maybe they should have use their Corvette design team to take a stab at it? In the end, I blame the exec's in charge of the process.

Interesting POV. I think it definitely looks better than the KIA logo...the old GM logo is represented of the past where this new is obviously appealing to the young gen.....as for Corvette...nice car but I just don’t get what everyone loves the new look compared to the classic styling of the outgoing model.

I don't think people specifically love the look of the new one vs the old one, its the fact that the new one is a special mid engined supercar that is a profound value over what that sort of car would typically cost.
Personally I agree the previous Corvette was better looking.
